My favorite curb (to skate) in Seattle

Living in the Pacific Northwest can be tough for skateboarders due to the perpetual rain, but we never let that stop us from finding incredible skate spots. One of my all-time favorites is the buttery curb at 66th and 8th, located right under I-5.

What's unique about this spot is that it manages to stay dry even during heavy rainfall. It's almost like magic, and it's the perfect secret weapon for skaters who refuse to let the weather dictate their sessions.

Not only is the grade of the curb subtle enough to build up speed for those epic long slides, but the asphalt is also relatively new and super smooth. And with ample room for parking and maneuvering cars, it's an ideal spot to bring along a crew and set up some ramps or rails for a full-blown jam session.

In fact, I'm thinking of organizing a renegade skate jam here myself. With the amazing conditions and accessible location, it's too good to resist. So if you're ever in the area, come join me and let's shred the buttery curb at 66th and 8th!

DON'T FORGET THE XANWAX!
